Activites and Services for Children

Children are an important part of our church life.  They are welcome at any of our services, and at both St Paul's, Ashford Hill and St Mary's, Kingsclere we have a dedicated children's area where children can play or colour during the service.

We also hold regular services which children will enjoy, and at St Mary's on the first Sunday of the month during the 10.30 communion service our children go to Junior church in the Kingsmill Room (adjacent to the church) to worship in their own way. 

ABC is our monthly service for Pre-School children and their parents or carers.  It is held on the third Monday in the month at 9.30 at St Mary's, and from 2012 will also be held on the fifth Monday when there is one (January, April, July and October)  The service lasts approximately 20 minutes and includes stories, prayers and singing.  This is followed by refreshments and plenty of toys in the Kingsmill Room.  Please see the programme for 2012 which shows the dates and themes.

At St Paul's on the fourth Sunday in the month we hold a family service at 10.30am.  This is an informal service which is perfect for families and in which children are encouraged to take part.  On alternate months this includes a family communion.  Please see the calendar for forthcoming dates
