The black statue of Christ in the Lady Chapel was given by the Wynne family in memory of their parents. It was made by a member of the family who is a renowned international sculptor. The altar and candlesticks were made by Alan Caiger-Smith, at the Aldermaston Pottery.

The church is accessible to wheelchair users and has a hearing loop.

Historical background to St. Paul’s Church, Ashford Hill.

St Paul’s was designed in neo-gothic style with a knapped flint exterior by Thomas Hellyer and built in 1845, except for the spire which was completed in 1859. It is now a Grade 2 listed building. The original pews were removed in 1992, due to serious woodworm and damp and were replaced by chairs donated by parishioners. This has contributed greatly to the flexibility in the way the building can be used.
